A1413 - This is an elongated cluster with two close groups of galaxies at the
scale of {alpha} = 375 kpc.

3.6 A1413 Details for A1413 are given by Grainge et al. (2002b), who also
discuss contributions to the H_0_ error budget in general. Using a ROSAT PSPC
image and ASCA temperature, we find H_0_= 57^+27^_-17_ km s^-1^ Mpc^-1^ for
SCDM, H_0_= 61^+29^_-18_ km s^-1^ Mpc^-1^ for {LAMBDA}CDM.

A1413 (z = 0.14): An elliptical, but otherwise relaxed-looking cluster. There
were two observations of this cluster in the archive, but one of these
observations had a high background rate.

between 0.1-1 Mpc, at a level not exceeding ~30%.

Re:ABELL 1413
A1413 shows a main concentration of 9 galaxies at a mean velocity of
v_BI_=42686 km s^-1^ (including the central cD galaxy) identified as the main
cluster. The estimate of its velocity dispersion (listed in Table 2) is
S_SD_=1460 km s^-1^. This value is quite different from the estimate with the
bi-weighted method (S_BI_=370 km s^-1^). This can mean that the number of
galaxies is still not sufficient to use the bi-weighted technique. Previous
estimates of the velocity dispersion in A1413 have to be taken with care until
more redshift measurements are available.
Finally, we note the presence of a foreground group of 4 galaxies around
v=30000 km s^-1^.
