Re:NGC 0232
The middle panels of Figure 11 present the H{alpha} and radio images of this
galaxy, which shows strong H{alpha} emission concentrated at the nucleus and in
a blob at 3.5" W of it. We also see more diffuse emission extended along P.A.?
~-40^deg^, which is in the direction along which the radio emission is extended.

Re:IRAS 00402-2350
IRAS 00402-2350 (NGC 232).---This object is paired with NGC 235 with a
separation of ~2'. Our H{alpha} image shows an H{alpha} knot in
between the two galaxies and is likely to be a result of the
interaction. The knot can not be seen in our R-band continuum images,
indicating that it is either a region of current star formation, or
else (more probably) indicates the position of shock-excited gas in
the merging system. This knot is probably the "optical debris"
described in Richter, Sackett, & Sparke (1994) as lying in between the
two galaxies. NGC 232 has been classed as H II region--like by Corbett
et al. (2002b) and Veilleux et al. (1995). The IRAS source is
associated with NGC 232 (Soifer et al. 1987).
