Asymmetric NVSS source.

The arm pattern in NGC 2715 is multiple in
the sense of NGC 2841 and NGC 488. It is not
formed by two principal inner arms that start at
the center and then fragment into an outer
multiple pattern. Rather, the MAS pattern in
NGC 2715 is present from the beginning of the
spiral pattern at the center.
The redshift of NGC 2715 is v_o = 1540 km/s.
Our CO detection is clear in the J = 2-1 transition where the signal to
noise ratio is higher. At 115 GHz, the rms noise is such that the
uncertainty in the integrated intensity is high but the galaxy is
detected at both frequencies. NGC 2715 is another HI dominated galaxy. We
detect emission in CO(2-1) out to 30" from the center so the H_2_ mass
could be as high as 10^9^ M_sun_ but this still leaves a majority of HI
SAB(rs)c (de Vaucouleurs), Sc- (Holmberg)

Very small, bright nucleus. Pseudo (r): 0.75 arcmin x 0.33 arcmin.
Several filamentary knotty arms. Sharp outline.
