MRK 0708 (NGC 2966) The VISIR image (Fig. 1) displays a central point source on
top of a 4" x 3" emission structure, extending West. The central core has a flux
of 20 mJy, consistent with previous upper limits (Siebenmorgen et al. 2004). The
extended component provides 90% of the total MIR luminosity and therefore we
classify the nucleus as starburst dominated.
