The two principal arms in NGC 3433 are of
the grand design type. They have relatively high
surface brightness compared with the outer arms
that branch from them. The HII region knots are
few, faint, and unresolved. The redshift of
NGC 3433 is v_o = 2566 km/s.

Small, bright nucleus in a smooth central part. 2 main knotty, filamentary
arms with many branches.
Small anonymous small spiral at 3.0 arcmin from nucleus, and a dozen others
in field.
