NGC 3619 is similar to NGC 7377 and
NGC 7213 on the left. The morphology is about
halfway between these two galaxies in the nature
of the dust lanes that are the spiral arms. The
lanes are well silhouetted against the bulge and
disk at the bottom of the print. However, unlike
the case in NGC 7377, luminous arms exist, most
easily seen at the top of the print. A few knots are
present, suggesting a low but finite rate of recent
star formation.
