NGC 3822/5: pair of spirals not clearly detected in our survey (estimated
I_HI_ < 2.4 Jy km s^-1^). The pair is oriented practically East-West, with
a separation of 3.1', somewhat smaller than the Nancay E-W HPBW and the
Arecibo HPBW. Our non-detection is surprising, given the integrated Arecibo
line fluxes of 3.6 and 0.8-1.6 Jy km s^-1^ reported for NGC 3822 and 3825,
respectively, by Eder et al. (1991) and Williams (1985). This may indicated
the presence of extended H I emission outside the Nancay beam area.
NGC 3822 has a Seyfert 2 spectrum.
NGC 3822. Seyfert 1.9 (Moran et al. 1996).
