5.8. NGC 3882. NGC 3882 (Fig. 24) was originally observed by B.
Koribalski and S. Gordon with the ATCA (projects C419 and C574), and
their results are presented in Gordon (2002). They have graciously
provided us with their data. NGC 3882 has a single companion 14' to its
northeast, NGC 3882A. The Digital Sky Survey image of the companion may
show a hint of an optical counterpart, but it may also be a smudge on
the plate, or a faint star. There is no previously cataloged optical
counterpart in NED within 5' of this position, however.
