Re:XMMU J122017.7+752216
XMMU J122017.7+752216 is an optically normal galaxy that looks extended in the
X-ray image. Its soft X-ray emission is best reproduced with a thermal model
with temperature kT = 0.64^+0.04^_-0.04_ keV and metallicity Z = Z_sun_. The fit
does not improve leaving Z as a free parameter. However, the high energy X-ray
spectrum is best modelled with an unabsorbed power law of spectral slope {GAMMA}
=1.87^+0.12^_-0.11_. We cannot confirm whether the source of the hard X-ray
emission is an AGN due to the low value of the hard X-ray luminosity inferred
from this model (L_2-10_ = 3.1 x 10^39^ erg s^-1^).

Re:NGC 4291
NGC 4291: The residual image does not show any special feature except
for a weak quadrupole pattern, which results from the boxy outer isophotes
(Ebneter, Davis, & Djorgovski 1988). No dust is obviously present in an
archival V-band image. The surface-brightness distribution steepens with
respect to the best-fit Nuker profile for r >~ 3"; we thus restricted the
fit to r <= 3".

Re:NGC 4291
NGC 4291: This is a faintly boxy elliptical, with a peculiar asymmetric
envelope. The proximity of a bright star however, makes the outer
measurements quite uncertain.
