VCC 944 (NGC 4417).This galaxy has a thin edge-on blue stellar disk, aligned
with the main body. There appears to be a faint nucleus, both from the color
image and from the g-band surface brightness profile.
NGC 4417: The two-dimensional fit is affected by the strong nuclear
disk. No optical HST images are available.

The morphology of NGC 4417 is a milder

NGC 4215 (this page). There is no strong
evidence for the presence of the ansae or for a
decrease in luminosity in the intermediate region
between the center and the beginning of the disk.
Hence, the morphological subtype is S0_1_ rather

analysis does not confirm the SB0 type in the RC2.
