VCC 1488.Elongated system. There is a small spiral galaxy, about 6" across, 8"
to the south; this galaxy has been masked in fitting the isophotes. An
unconstrained fit to the isophotes runs into problems because of the low
gradient in the surface brightness profile, but between 0.5" and 5" the
isophotes are centered very accurately on the nucleus. ELLIPSE was therefore run
over a more extended radial range by fixing the position of the center to that
of the nucleus.
