The central bulge in NGC 4958 resembles
an E5 galaxy, but the definite thick disk shows
the characteristic S0 morphology. The original
plate was taken with the Mount Wilson 60-inch

Very bright nucleus in a bright lens: 1.8 arcmin x 0.45 arcmin with faint ansae.

Helwan 21 and 22 dimensions are for the bright part only.
Pair with NGC 4948A at 13.5 arcmin and NGC 4948 at 14 arcmin.
Type: Sand - E7, HUb - Sa, vB -E6, Morg - kD6. Redshift: +1389, G3.
