Two thin principal arms can be followed
from the center outward, one for half a revolution
and the other for a quarter revolution,
before they branch into several thin fragments
winding through the outer disk. The resulting
arm pattern is open. Although the arms are
multiple, they remain thin and do not cover a large
area of the outer disk because they are so thin.
Three high-surface-brightness HII regions
and a number of fainter HII regions exist in the
arms but are unresolved at the 1" level. The
redshift of NGC 5468 is v_o = 2696 km/s.

Small, very bright, elongated nucleus or bar. 2 main, partially resolved,
filamentary arms with many branches. Pseudo (r) 0.3 arcmin x - . Possible
SA(s)cd with peculiar nucleus.
Detail or star = NGC 5467 (see Helwan 38, MWC 626).
Non-interacting pair with NGC 5472 at 5.1 arcmin.

Holmberg double No. 585 with MCG -01-36-008, {rho} = 5.5 arcmin!
In a second entry, he calls it a quintuple (No. 585') with components
including MCG -01-36-008, and further NGC 5465, 5467 and Anon, but
all these (except MCG -01-36-008) look like stars. Strong HII regions.
{omega} = 0 degrees. Type: vB - ScII, Sand - Sc. Redshift: +2790,
much emission from the condensations.
