7 note(s) found in NED.

1. 2007AJ....134..648M
Re:NGC 5695
NGC 5695 (Figs. 7.61, 9.61, 20.61): The nucleus is compact but resolved, with a
blob 0.2" to the north. There is faint diffuse emission around it that follows a
de Vaucouleurs profile.

Re:NGC 5695
NGC 5695 (LW)
This galaxy could arguably be also classified as a chaotic spiral as
there are a number of dust lanes in the circumnuclear region with no
connection to the curved dust lanes of the spiral.

Re:UGC 09421
CfA Seyfert 2 (Huchra & Burg 1992).

Re:NGC 5695
NGC 5695. - This Seyfert 2 galaxy is quite bright and well fitted by a
Nuker profile. The nuclear point source is sufficiently faint that GALFIT
did not need to include a nuclear point source in the two-dimensional
model. At large radii the ellipticity starts to increase at the position
angle of the host galaxy bar.

Re:NGC 5695
NGC 5695: this SBb with a Seyfert 2 spectrum was not clearly detected in
our Nancay survey (estimated I_HI_ < 2.4 Jy km s^-1^), which is consistent
with Arecibo detections. The upper limit on its M_HI_/L_B_ ratio,
0.10 M_sun_/L_sun,B_, is low for its classification.

Re:NGC 5695
A18. NGC 5695
The 3 {sigma} upper limit on the 2-10 keV flux of this Seyfert 2 galaxy was
~5x10^-14^ ergs cm^-2^ s^-1^(observed 2-10 keV luminosity <~10^40^ ergs s^-1^).
This source has never been detected in X-rays (Polletta et al. 1996).

Re:MRK 0686
Markarian 686 (NGC 5695) Type 2. Host galaxy: spiral. Radio: Ulvestad &
Wilson (1989) using the VLA report a detection at 20 cm but not at 6 cm,
implying a relatively steep spectrum ({alpha} >= 1 where S is
proportional to {nu}^-{alpha}^). This is consistent with our non-
detection of this object with both C- and A-configuration.
