April 23/24, 1936
The reproduction here is from a plate taken
in excellent seeing by Hubble with the 60-inch
telescope on Mount Wilson. The angular size of
the galaxy is small at D_25_ = 1.5'; the number of
resolution elements in this image is smaller than
for most other prints in this atlas. The redshift of
NGC 5936 is v_o = 3995 km/s.
The arm pattern is peculiar in a similar way
to NGC 2441, described on the preceding panel.
