IC 5273 has high-surface-brightness, tightly
wound massive arms that cover most of the
disk. It has been assigned to the loose, widely
separated Grus Group (Sandage 1975b) whose
mean redshift is listed as
The redshift of IC 5273 is v_o = 1296 km/s.
Several of the brightest HII regions are
complex and resolve at about the 2" level.
PGC 070184 = IC 5273. B_T_ = 11.84S +- 0.15, B^o^_T_ = 11.55, HI = 2.52.
Asymmetric, high surface brightness on north-following side with 2 very
thick arms. Patchy arms.
(r'): 1.0 x 0.6.
Very broad patchy arms, almost resolved.
=ESO 346- G 22
Several good HII regions that will probably resolve
at approximately 1 arcsec.

Small, bright nucleus. Knotty pseudo (r): 0.85 arcmin x 0.55 arcmin. Several
knotty, branching arms. Poorly resolved. Classification is uncertain.
