The pattern of the almost-complete inner
ring in NGC 782 is nearly identical to that in
NGC 5156, above; the same description applies.
A set of three faint outer arms exists, starting
at different points on the almost-complete
Very bright nucleus, bar, and (r): 0.65 x 0.65.
Bright bar and (r): 0.7 x 0.6, pretty faint arms. Star superposed 0.5
Overexposed center. Bright bar and (r): 0.6 x 0.6; thin knotty arms.
Extremely faint outer arms.
Clearly very distant, and of high luminosity.
Small, bright nucleus.
(r): 0.85 arcmin x 0.75 arcmin
Star 0.5 arcmin [north-following] on (r).
