1. 2002AJ....124..675C
Re:UGC 09673
F15004+2332 is a blend of UGC 09673 and the companion galaxy IC 4526
at RA = 15 02 38.15, DEC = +23 21 02.1.

Re:NGC 5829
This galaxy appears to be a member of a small group (HCG 73: Hickson,
Kindl, & Auman 1989). One apparent member of the group shows signs of
recent interaction (tidal tail or one-armed spiral emerging from an
off-center, nucleated, disturbed, or irregular galaxy). Spiral structure
reaches a very small radius, leading to a large equation (7) ratio.
There is some danger that the outer disk is distended or not planar
owing to encounters within the group.

Re:NGC 5829
= Arp 042
= VV 007
Interacting pair with IC 4526 at 1.3 arcmin north-preceding.

Re:UGC 09673
VV 7, Arp 42
SA(s)c (de Vaucouleurs)
North-preceding arm split in two
Interacting with companion {= I 4526} at 1.4, 320, 0.5 x 0.4
In Arp's class "galaxies with low surface brightness companions on arms"
"Faint bifurcated arm to companion, one faint arm on companion coiled in
same direction as parent" (Arp)

Re:NGC 5829
A very faint, nearly round, open spiral 1.5' in diameter; stellar nucleus;
several faint, almost stellar condensations. 12 s.n.
