Re:PKS B1437-153
There is confusion as to the nature and redshift of this source. It
has z=0.254 in PKSCAT90 - but Veron-Cetty & Veron
(1998ESOSR..18....1V) have it as a BL Lac object and Goncalves et al.
(1998A&AS..127..107G) show a convincingly featureless ESO 3.6m
spectrum. There is confusion (see Thompson et al.,
1990PASP..102.1235T); the original identification was incorrect,
shown to be a star, but it acquired a redshift of 0.254 (Veron-Cetty
& Veron, 1989, ESO Report) which was subsequently inserted in
PKSCAT90. The revised identification Condon et al.
(1977AJ.....82..692C) is recorded in our table.

Re:PKS 1437-153
PKS 1437-153 is a flat spectrum radiosource identified by Condon et al. (1977)
with a 19.0 mag starlike object. It has a featureless spectrum between 3800 and
7000 A (Fig. 1) and is most probably a BL Lac object.
