We have compared the radio continuum properties of Markarian galaxies at {lambda}{lambda}6.3 and 2.8 cm with the integrated far- infrared luminosities over the 60 micron and 100 micron IRAS bands and over the 12 micron to 25 micron regime. We find that Markarian galaxies behave like normal star-forming galaxies. Comparing L_(60,100)_ with the radio emission, most objects lie in the region of normal star-forming galaxies. Only some Seyferts and most of the radio-quiet quasars show a higher radio-to-FIR ratio. Comparing L_(12,25)_ with the radio luminosity, the correlation is surprisingly tight for all objects. In both cases the dispersion of the correlation seems to depend on the radio wavelength and is smaller at {lambda}2.8 cm than at {lambda}6.3 cm.
