The detection and photometry of the diffuse component in a given field is performed after the removal of all the objects in that field (stars and galaxies). The fitting and removal procedures are described in detail. We have applied this method to Abell 2390 and Cl 1613+31 using Bgr photometry. In AbeIl 2390, the intracluster light could be produced by galaxies fainter than the completeness limit in magnitude, and there is some excess of light probably caused by the halo of the central cD galaxy. In Cl 1613+31, the diffuse component exceeds the light expected from the faint cluster galaxies in g and r, and there is no detection in B. The photometry of these diffuse stellar components is studied and discussed.
