Box 3908 Beijing, 100039, China Received 28 February 1995/Accepted 21 June 1995 Abstract. The very luminous infrared source IRAS 23532 +2513 coincides with a compact group of galaxies including MCG 0401-002, MCG 04-01-003 and MCG 04-01-004. Spectroscopic observations show that the bright- nucleus galaxy MCG 04-01-002 is a Seyfert 1 and the disturbed spiral galaxy MCG 04-01-003 is a starburst galaxy. CCD images in V band reveal that clear tidal interaction exists between those two objects. This is another example of tidal interaction triggering starburst and Seyfert activity. Key words: galaxies: MCG 4-1-2, MCG 4-1-3, MCG 4-1-4 - interaction - starburst - Seyfert
