OBSERVATIONAL IMPLICATIONS BRIAN PUNSLY 4014 Emerald Street No. 116, Torrance, CA 90503 Received 1994 July 18; accepted 1996 June 18 ABSTRACT This article analyzes a large sample of quasi-simultaneous spectra of core-dominated radio sources from radio to far-infrared wavelengths. The spectral structure reveals a difference between high-polarization quasars (HPQs) and BL Lacs at the 99.997% significance level. It also reveals strong correlations between spectral structure and VLBI polarimetry, {gamma}-ray activity, optical polarization, and large-scale extended radio emission Subject headings: BL Lacertae objects: general - quasars: general - radio continuum: galaxies
