1998IAUC.6844B...1J Circular No. 6844 Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams INTERNATIONAL ASTRONOMICAL UNION SUPERNOVA 1998W IN NGC 3075 Jha et al. also report that a spectrum obtained at the 1.5-m Tillinghast telescope on Mar. 19.4 UT shows that this object (cf. IAUC 6843) is a type-II supernova. A broad H-alpha feature with a P-Cyg profile is clearly seen despite the low-signal-to-noise data. The photospheric velocity estimated from the minimum of the absorption is -7200 km/s. Narrow emission lines from the host galaxy give a redshift of 3490 km/s. 1998 March 21 (6844) Daniel W. E. Green
