2000AJ....120.2278T THE HIGH RADIO FREQUENCY SPECTRA AND VARIABILITY OF SOUTHERN FLAT-SPECTRUM RADIO SOURCES M. VALTAOJA Tuorla Observatory, FIN-21500 Piikkio, Finland and Department of Physical Sciences, University of Turku, FIN-20100 Turku, Finland Received 2000 May 5; accepted 2000 August 16 ABSTRACT We have complemented observations of the millimeter spectra (90 and 230 GHz) of a complete sample of Southern flat-spectrum active galactic nuclei. We discuss the overall shape of the radio spectrum of these sources and identify two new gigahertz-peaked spectrum sources with unusually high peak frequencies (10-20 GHz). We also discuss the variability behavior in the millimeter domain. Key words: quasars: general-radio continuum
