2001IAUC.7714B...1M Circular No. 7714 Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams INTERNATIONAL ASTRONOMICAL UNION SUPERNOVAE 2001eb AND 2001ef Matheson et al. add that a spectrum of SN 2001eb (cf. IAUC 7702), obtained by Berlind as above on Sept. 11.48 UT, shows it to be a type-Ia supernova several weeks after maximum light. A spectrum of SN 2001ef (cf. IAUC 7710), obtained by Berlind on Sept. 11.50, shows it to be a type-Ia supernova near maximum light. Adopting the NED recession velocity of 2476 km/s for the host galaxy, the supernova expansion velocity is about 12 800 km/s for Si II (rest 635.5 nm). The spectral-feature age of the supernova (Riess et al. 1997, A.J. 114, 722) is 1 +/- 2 days after maximum light. 2001 September 11 (7714) Daniel W. E. Green
