   Fig. 2. 3C 47. The optical position of the 18 mag QSO measured by BCGP lies
 1.6 arcsec from the central radio component. The Sf component exhibits two
 polarization maxima. The first entry in the table refers to the peak of total
 intensity and the second to the polarized 'tail'.
