   Fig. 9.- NGC 3894 (1146+596) at 1.5 GHz. The peak total intensity is 38.3
 mJy beam **(-1), the CI is 2 mJy beam **(-1), and equally spaced contours from
 -3 to +20 this CI are plotted. The map was corrected for primary-beam
 attenuation. The large cross marks the location from which a model of the
 compact core was removed from the visibility data prior to mapping. The small
 cross marks the position of the optical nucleus of the SBa galaxy NGC 3895.
