STATISTICAL CONSULTING CENTER FOR ASTRONOMY

HIPR2: Hypermedia Image Processing Reference - The Hypermedia Image Processing Reference (HIPR) was developed at the Department of Artificial Intelligence in the University of Edinburgh in order to provide a set of computer-based tutorial materials for use in teaching courses on image processing and machine vision.
The package provides on-line reference and tutorial information on a wide range of image processing operations, extensively illustrated with actual digitized images, and bound together in a hypermedia format for easy browsing, searching and cross-referencing.

KARMA - Developed by an Australian radio astronomer (Richard Gooch at CSIRO) KARMA is a toolkit for interprocess communications, authentication, encryption, graphics display, user interface and manipulating the KARMA network data structure. The package contains KarmaLib (the structured libraries and API) and a large number of modules (applications) to perform many standard tasks. A suite of visualisation tools are distributed with the library.
