 800 mJy per beam area. The optical position of the M87 nucleus (Turland 1975)
 is indicated by the large cross, and the three small crosses mark the
 brightest knots in the optical jet (de Vaucouleurs, Angione, and Fraser 1968).
 The linear distance scale is based on a distance of 20 Mpc to M87.
