Even rarer than interacting quartets are interacting quintets. page
5.1 shows a 4m CTIO plate (1387A) of the five galaxies comprising the
system AM 0003-362. There is a star projected onto the northern end of
the group so that there are, in reality, only three galaxies north of
the central spiral, not four as it might first appear. Other
interacting quintets are listed in the complete tabular descriptions
of Volume I but the objects illustrated show the best examples that
were encountered.
