Abstract. Within the last decade or so new atomic data has become available for most atomic systems of interest in astrophysics. Recent progress in atomic processes relevant to spectral formation is reviewed and the data sources are listed. Recommended transition probabilities and effective collision strengths are presented for a number of nebular emission lines.
