Abstract | Photometric observations of 14 radio sources with flat or inverted spectra at short cm- and mm-wavelengths have been made near a wavelength of 1 mm. None of the sources shows an excess, thereby ruling out dust emission as a significant contributor to the energy distribution. A comparison of the radio source diameters derived from synchrotron theory with those measured directly with VLBI shows good agreement between the two. The energy distribution of flat spectra radio sources may be explained by a superposition of synchrotron sources of different sizes. |
